Pendidikan sejatinya tidak hanya mencetak generasi bangsa untuk memperoleh pekerjaan yang layak karena memperoleh ijazah kelulusan di tingkat tertentu. Namun, lebih dari itu, yaitu menjadikan peserta didik sebagai manusia yang cerdas, baik, dan berbudi luhur sehingga membawa dampak positif bagi keluarga, masyarakat, dan bangsa.
Itulah sebabnya, fungsi pendidikan tidak hanya sebagai sarana transfer ilmu pengetahuan. Untuk itu, pendidikan juga sebagai sarana pembangunan karakter dan pengembangan bakat serta kreativitas peserta didiknya.
Sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan formal, SMK Cipta Karya Bekasi menyadari pentingnya hal tersebut. Salah satu aktualisasinya adalah melalui pengadaan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler (eskul) dengan tujuan pengembangan bakat, minat serta yang dimiliki kreativitas siswa.
Pada kegiatan eskul inilah siswa diarahkan untuk dapat memahami dan mengembangkan bakat serta kemampuannya sehingga dapat menciptakan individu yang berkarakter luhur dan mampu mengembangkan diri sesuai minat dan potensinya masing-masing.
Disisi lain, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler juga sebagai penunjang materi kurikulum dan sekaligus untuk mengisi waktu luang para sisiwa. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang ditawarkan kepada siswa SMK Cipta Karya Bekasi yaitu di antaranya sebagai berikut :
